Activity
The Kosciuszko Institute – a think-tank creating new ideas for Poland and Europe – is an independent and non-governmental research institute founded in 2000 as a non-profit organization.
The Institute cooperates with academics, members of Polish and EU administrations and with individuals engaged in public, social and economic activities. Based on in-depth, interdisciplinary analysis, the Kosciuszko Institute promotes solutions published in the form of recommendations and expert reports. Its publications are addressed to European institutions, government and local-government bodies, members of parliament, the media, non-governmental organisations, entrepreneurs and advocates of the idea of independent thought and open debate. The Kosciuszko Institute cooperates with partner academic centres in Europe, EU institutions, governmental and self-governmental institutions as well as international think tanks.
Ideas originating in the Kosciuszko Institute have not only been the basis for significant legislative reforms, but also for content-related support for current activities of strategic decision-makers.
Its Polish-European policy ideas are realistic – to support Polish national interest in a European Union of loyal and sovereign states.
Its socio-economic ideas are liberal – to support reforms which remove barriers on growth and stimulate activity, enterprise, competitiveness and creativity as well as provide Poland with constant civil and economic development.
Its political ideas are republican – to support a strong government restricted in its power and a state that creates the best opportunities for its citizens’ talents.
The Kosciuszko Institute’s headquarters is located in Cracow and is registered in the District Court in Cracow in the Register of Associations and Foundations under file number KRS 0000145838.
