Ph.D hab. in Social Science (2010), a graduate of the Sociology Institute and the History Institute of Warsaw University; a postgraduate degree in the scope of the European Integration (Warsaw University and University in Maastricht); Scholar of University of Oxford, University of Florence, Yale University and Georgetown University in Washington.

Currently, assistant professor in the Institute of Political Studies of Polish Academy of Science. Expert in the Institute of Public Affairs. Member of the Workgroup for Regional and Spatial Policy in the Committee on Spatial Economy and Regional Planning in Polish Academy of Science and the Polish Department of Roman Club. Expert of regional development policy, European studies and public administration.
