State under the Rule of Law
The purpose of the projects carried out in this area is to monitor the regulations in the Polish and EU legal systems, to analyze objective data and information concerning public governance broadly understood and to provide society with these data. These analyses will result in lasting and positive changes as well as develop society’s ability to judge, verify and control the authorities. Additionally, these analyses will assure an increase in transparency and ethics in public and socio-economic life. The actions taken in this area of the program are meant to improve democratic standards and to help Polish society present an active civic attitude through self-organization as well as reach goals without motivation from the government.
The main aspect of research within this area is the phenomenon of corruption, which still exists in Polish administration and business. Due to this fact, new and more advanced anti-corruption activities are required. In order to fight effectively with this phenomenon, we propose more innovative and advanced anti-corruption mechanisms. Also within this area are projects whose objective is to pass on the practice of state democracy bound by law to our partners in the East, and to support Polish social diplomacy.
