Poland has every chance to be in the shale avant-garde

The Kosciuszko Institute has a pleasure to introduce you with the newest policy brief entitled: Win-win strategy for taxation on shale gas extraction in Poland which was prepared in partnership with law firm DLA Piper.  

Initial recommendations  for creating shale gas extraction taxation system in Poland included in the policy brief have been drawn up based on the conclusions formulated during a debate organized by the Kosciuszko Institute with participation by Polish and foreign experts as well as business and legal representatives. The Polish government has declared that it will present the underlying assumptions of taxation on shale gas extraction activities in the near future. However, in the Kosciuszko Institute's view, what is required is an open discussion on the shape of the taxation system that would be optimal to both the state and potential investors.
