Doctor of Engineering, Bartosz Ziółko graduated with distinction in Electronics and Telecommunications at the AGH University of Science and Technology, specialising in Telecommunications Systems, in 2004. He has defended his doctoral thesis at the Department of Computer Science of the University of York. Since 1st October 2008, he has been working at the AGH University of Science, dealing with voice recognition, Polish language processing, and audio engines for computer games. He is a member of IEEE and ISCA as well as an alumnus of the TOP 500 Innovator programme at Stanford University. He is the author and co-author of two books and over 80 reviewed articles in journals as well as conference materials and chapters in books. He is the co-founder and president of the spin off named Techmo sp. z o.o, Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of VoiceFinder sp. z o.o. as well as the mentor of Orange Fab. In 2014 he received a three-year scholarship for outstanding young scientists from the Minister of Science and Higher Education. He was awarded the gold medal at the Innova 2014 innovation fair in Brussels. He is also a photographer.
