Joanna holds a number of important roles at the Kosciuszko Institute. She is CYBERSEC Programme Director, Chief Editor of the European Cybersecurity Journal and a Senior Research Fellow at the Kosciuszko Institute. She was also a member of the Advisory Group for Cybersecurity of the Republic of Poland working within the Polish Presidential National Bureau of Security (NBS). Joanna has been involved in a plethora of high-profile, national and international cybersecurity initiatives. In 2014, she took part in the Sino-European Cyber Dialogue held in Geneva and Beijing. She often cooperates with Polish public institutions such as NBS. As part of the National Forum of Security organised by NBS, she contributed to the cyber doctrine of Poland. Joanna Świątkowska authored numerous cybersecurity articles, reports and analyses. She often speaks at national and international conferences and seminars on a wide range of cybersecurity topics. In 2016, she participated in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) in Cybersecurity and Government Interoperability. In 2017 she was listed among the 100 Eastern Europe’s emerging technology stars announced by Financial Times & New Europe 100. Joanna Świątkowska holds a PhD degree in political science.
