The Kosciuszko Institute is looking for ambitious, highly motivated and eager to gain some experience in work within the analytics team involved in the research on disinformation.

Why is it worth?

Founded in 2000, the Kosciuszko Institute is a leading, non-governmental and non-profit think tank and research institute. Our mission is to act in the interest of the socio-economic development and security of Poland as a proactive member of the European Union and NATO.

As a leader among Polish non-governmental organisations, the Kosciuszko Institute runs a range of national and international projects devoted to multifaceted aspects of security. Cybersecurity is the biggest area of the Kosciuszko Institute programme team activity, within which we launched CYBERSEC – the European Cybersecurity Forum. It is one of the most recognized cybersecurity events in Europe. For four years now we have been hosting prominent decision-makers, business leaders and academics, who discuss, debate and shape the future of European cybersecurity on the CYBERSEC stage.

As an intern you will be involved, among others, in the process of conducting research, testing of OSINT tools and analysis and data visualisation.

Internship is a unique opportunity to take deeper look into the structure of the non-governmental organisation and learn how to turn ideas into actions.


  • very good command of written and spoken English (at least at level C1);
  • interest in the Kosciuszko Institute’s programme area of activity, especially disinformation;
  • preferably a student of political or technical studies;
  • availability 4-5 days per week;
  • critical mind prone to analysis/investigative thinking;
  • excellent task and time-management;
  • eagerness to learn and develop;
  • responsibility, precision and self-reliance;
  • ability to be a team player.

Nice to have:

  • basic knowledge of programming (python 3.7) and of MS Office;
  • basic command of Linux OS;
  • good command of data visualisation software, e.g. Tableau, Gephi;
  • knowledge of other European languages, especially Polish or Russian (level B2).
